Your child is choking on a piece of apple. He’s having a febrile seizure. He’s not breathing. In just one day, learn the first-aid steps appropriate for his age and gain the confidence to take action.

- Certificate issued upon completion of the course

What You'll Be Able to Do by the End of the Day
Life-Threatening Emergencies
- Recognizing When a Baby or Child Is Not Breathing Normally
- Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation appropriate for infants and children
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on a Child
- Clear the airway in case of choking
Everyday Accidents and Illnesses
- How to Respond to a Seizure, Especially One Accompanied by a Fever
- Treating a Fall, a Wound, or a Burn
- Recognizing the signs of a worsening illness
Raise the alarm and pass it on
- Secure the premises and protect yourself
- Call 144 and provide the correct information
Each step is demonstrated, then practiced on a mannequin until you feel comfortable

No medical knowledge is required. The course is designed for people who have never taken a first-aid training course.

9:00 a.m. – Welcome and roundtable discussion
9:15 a.m. – Incident Management: Alarm, Safety, Level of Consciousness, Recovery Position
10:00 a.m. – Cardiopulmonary arrest: chest compressions, AED, drowning
10:45 – Break
11:00 a.m. – Respiratory distress and allergic reactions: airway obstruction, asthma attack, auto-injector pen
12:00 p.m. – Lunch break (lunch not provided)
1:00 p.m. – Altered mental status: dizziness, seizure, heatstroke
1:45 p.m. – Hemorrhages and Traumas: Bleeding, Falls, Head, Back, or Dental Injuries
2:30 p.m. – Break
2:45 p.m. – Burns, cuts, and bites · stomachaches · poisoning
3:30 p.m. – Role-playing exercises
4:15 p.m. – Q&A and presentation of certificates
4:30 p.m. – End

We recommend that you come without children so that you can fully enjoy the activities throughout the day.
The course includes floor exercises and CPR practice on a mannequin. Consult your doctor or midwife before registering; the instructor will adapt the exercises as needed.
