Why take the first aid course for your driving licence?
The first aid course is a compulsory part of any Swiss driver’s license.
This course teaches you how to react correctly in the event of an accident, and how to give first aid to an injured person while waiting for the emergency services to arrive.
As well as being compulsory for a driver’s license, this course teaches you essential reflexes that can make a real difference in an emergency situation.
Knowing what to do at the right time can save a life.
What will you learn during the course?
During the course, you will learn to :
- securing the scene of a road accident
- protect victims and avoid additional risks
- perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- reacting to bleeding or trauma
- recognize the signs of shock
- communicate effectively with emergency services
The gestures are explained step-by-step and practiced during training, so you can act with confidence in an emergency.
You’ll leave with the right reflexes to act effectively in an emergency situation.

This course is designed for :
- people preparing their driver’s license

- for those who want to feel ready to react in the event of an accident
No prior knowledge is necessary.
How does the course work?
The course lasts 10 hours.
- 4 hours on Friday
- 6 hours on Saturday
The training alternates :
- practical exercises
- theory
- situation scenarios
The aim is to enable each participant to feel able to intervene in an emergency, calmly and effectively.
